Minás Gallery opened in Fells Point in 1992. From the beginning, it served not just as an exhibition space, but also as a place for literary gatherings. The business relocated to Hampden in 2004 and is now one of the few Baltimore galleries specializing in one-man shows. It continues to be a literary gathering spot.
This show represents a sampling of the many talented artists who have exhibited their work at Minás Gallery over the years. The paintings are from the private collection of gallery owners Minás Konsolas and Peggy Hoffman.
The works are as diverse as the artists themselves, yet there is a poetic element that ties them together. These pieces represent the footprints of those who have passed through the gallery and have become part of our creative community.
The collection includes works by:
Paul Abbey • Beppi • Mark Coburn • Colleen Corrigan • Lania D’Agostino • E. Liz Downing • S. Philip G. • Ryan Higgins • Jack Livingston • Minás • Robinson Muñoz • Kate Norris • Spoon Popkin • Laddie Waters • Charles Weber.
