about MInÁs: the place
Minás Gallery and Boutique is two venues in one: a boutique and an art gallery. Our business first opened in 1992 in Fells Point and then relocated to Hampden in 2004. We're located on 36th Street, known as "the Avenue", an urban village main street featuring cool, quirky, locally owned shops & restaurants.
Minás Boutique
Our first-floor boutique features vintage and new clothing and accessories for men and women. This is a store with one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, where you create your own fashion masterpiece. Our new items include men's & women's hats, sterling silver jewelry, hard to find items like bow ties, opera gloves, and western shirts. We are one of the few Hampden boutiques to stock a full line of men's clothing. We also carry original art, hand-made crafts by local designers, retro tin toys, a great collection of jazz and blues CD's, cards, and jewelry.
Minás Gallery
Is one of only a few Baltimore galleries specializing in solo exhibitions of local artists. The second floor venue doubles as an intimate gathering space for literary events, poetry readings, and performances. We host one of the longest-running series of poetry readings in Baltimore City.
