GALLERY SHOW SUBMISSIONS
  

Minás Gallery is currently operated as a co-op, in partnership with the artist(s). Most shows run for two months. We are happy to consider proposals for both solo exhibitions and group shows. The gallery charges a 30% commission on sales.

The gallery provides the following services free of charge:

  • Provide the gallery space.
  • Assist with the installation.
  • Promote the exhibit to the media.
  • Make a price list on our letterhead (as many copies as needed) and provide any necessary signage.
  • Notify our clients about the show via e-mail.
  • Promote the exhibit through our website.
  • Host the reception (set-up, serving, and clean-up).
  • Process the art sales.
  • Staff the gallery for the duration of the show.
  • Repair and paint the gallery walls as needed after the exhibition.

The gallery offers the following services at cost, although the artist is not required to purchase these services through the gallery:

  • Design and print a postcard promoting the exhibit. (Design and printing costs will vary, but our cost is roughly $150 to design and print 1,000 full color postcards)
  • Mail postcards to the client on our snail mail list. (About $220 for mailing labels and postage to 600 clients.)
  • Provide food for the reception. (We offer a first-class assortment of hot hors d’oeuvres, cheese, spreads, fruit and pastries for roughly $125.)
  • Provide wine and non-alcoholic beverages for the reception.

If the artist prefers, they can provide food, drink and postcards themselves. The gallery reserves the right to review and approve plans for food, drink, and postcard design. The gallery does not provide insurance.

If you would like to be considered for an exhibit, we need to know the following about you:

  • What your work looks like.
  • Where else you have exhibited.
  • How much your recent work has sold for.
  • Your ideas about what you would like to exhibit in our gallery – media, theme, size of artwork, and price range.
